After passing the IE exam, you obtain the international PADI OWSI certificate and can conduct:

(introductory program – after meeting additional conditions) - PADI Divemaster

IDC (Instructor Development Course) is an intense and fascinating stage of your diving journey. During 10 days, you will immerse yourself not only in the water, but above all in the world of diving teaching at the highest level.
Here’s what you can expect:
🔹 Theoretical and practical training – you will learn the PADI teaching methodology, principles of course organization and ways of motivating and supporting students.
🔹 Classes in the gym, in the pool and in open water – you will learn to conduct presentations, exercises and training scenarios in realistic conditions.
🔹 Emergency simulations and student assessment – you will gain the ability to react to mistakes and learn to take care of the safety of the group during the training.
🔹 Daily support and feedback – every day you will receive feedback that will help you improve your teaching technique and build self-confidence.
🔹 Preparation for the IE (Instructor Examination) – the entire course is aimed at making you 100% ready for the final exam and starting work as a diving instructor.

IE – Instructor Examination
The final exam of the PADI IDC course is the so-called IE – Instructor Examination, i.e. the official instructor exam, is conducted by an external PADI examiner. It lasts 2 days and consists of several parts that test your readiness to teach divers in accordance with PADI standards.
Exam structure:
Theoretical examination (written)
General knowledge test (5 sections): physics, physiology, equipment, dive planning, environment and decompression.
PADI Standards Knowledge Test – based on the PADI Instructor Manual (open book).
Each section: 12 questions, pass mark: 75%.
Classroom teaching (selective lecture)
Presentation of a selected theoretical issue from the PADI course.
Structure, communication, transparency and compliance with standards are assessed.
Activities in pool-like water (Confined Water)
Demonstration of one diving skill.
Assessment: demonstration technique, response to errors, safety, interaction with trainees.
Open Water Activities
Teaching two skills from the course in simulated conditions.
Assessment: organization, safety, quality of instruction, compliance with standards.
✅ Positive completion of all parts = obtaining the title PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI). From now on, you can teach PADI courses around the world.
