Gozo
Gozo is a unique diving destination in Europe – a Mediterranean island full of crystal water, rock formations, tunnels, caverns, wrecks and spectacular shore dives.
Chill & Dive on Gozo!
Gozo is an island created for divers. It is small in size, but has huge capabilities under water. There are dozens of described dive sites around the island, and many of them can be dived in different ways – depending on the level of the group, conditions and purpose of diving.
This is an ideal direction for people who like technical and landscape diving: walls, tunnels, boulder areas, rock arches, wrecks and underwater passages. Gozo also provides great conditions for developing skills – buoyancy control, buoy work, navigation, deeper, wreck and cavern diving.
This is not a classic “beach and hotel” trip. This is a real diving trip in the Mediterranean style – intense, diverse and full of places that will stay in your memory for a long time.

Why is Gozo so special?
One of the best diving sites in Europe
Gozo is considered one of the most interesting diving destinations in Europe. The island offers a very large variety of places: from easy training bays, through walls and rock formations, to deeper wrecks and places for more advanced divers.
Shore diving
Most diving takes place from shore. This means great flexibility, interesting logistics and a completely different style of diving than during classic boat trips. Entrances to the water often lead through natural rocks, ladders, bays or rock platforms.
Caverns, tunnels and rock formations
Gozo is famous for places such as Blue Hole, Inland Sea and Cathedral Cave. These are dives full of light, space, rock passages and characteristic formations not found on typical tropical reefs.
Wrecks for different levels
There are numerous wrecks in the area of Gozo, Comino and Malta. Some of them are available to recreational divers, others require more experience and deep or technical qualifications. Thanks to this, the trip can be tailored to both beginners and more advanced divers.
What awaits you during your trip?
Blue Hole
Blue Hole is one of the most famous diving sites in Gozo. A characteristic, natural “well” in the rock leads to the open sea through a rock arch. This place is very impressive both from the surface and underwater.
Diving in the Blue Hole combines spectacular topography, play of light and the opportunity to see the remains of the famous Azure Window, which collapsed in 2017. Underwater, huge stone blocks created labyrinths, passages and a unique landscape.
Inland Sea
Inland Sea is another iconic place in Gozo. The dive begins in a shallow, inner bay and then leads through a long tunnel towards the open sea. After leaving the tunnel, the space, wall and depth of the Mediterranean Sea open up.
This is one of those dives that perfectly shows the character of Gozo – it’s not just about sea life, but about space, rock, light and unusual formations.
Cathedral Cave
Cathedral Cave is one of the most beautiful caverns in Gozo. The interior creates a huge space with a dome into which daylight flows. Depending on the conditions, it is possible to emerge inside the caverna and see it from the inside.
This place will be especially appreciated by divers who like quiet exploration, light coming through rock openings and diving with a unique atmosphere.
Reqqa Point
Reqqa Point is a place for divers who like walls, space and stronger diving profiles. The dive takes place along a rock wall that provides a good reference point, even though there is considerable depth below.
In the Reqqa Point area you can find a lot of fish, interesting rock formations, and for more advanced divers, also entrances to deeper caves and chimneys.
Xwejni Bay
Xwejni Bay is a quieter location with convenient access from the shore. The place is perfect for first dives, warm-up, training and equipment fitting. The bay gradually descends, and further on there are rock formations, sandy fragments of the bottom and labyrinths among the rocks.
In shallow water, you can sometimes see herds of barracudas, which makes even easier dives very impressive.
Comino and the wreck of P31
Comino is a small island between Malta and Gozo, known for its blue water, caverns and boat diving. One of the most interesting places is the wreck of P31 – a former minesweeper prepared especially for divers and sunk near Comino.
The wreck lies relatively shallow, so it is a good place for first wreck experiences. It gives you the opportunity to see the structure of the ship, look into numerous holes and feel the atmosphere of wreck diving without very great depths.
Gozo Wrecks: Karvela, Xlendi and Cominoland
Gozo is also a great destination for shipwreck enthusiasts. The island area includes, among others: Karvela, Xlendi and Cominoland. These are wrecks of different nature, accessibility and difficulty level.
Karvela is one of Gozo’s most famous wrecks, valued for its structure and the possibility of more interesting exploration. Cominoland lies on a sandy bottom and is a popular destination for wreck divers. Xlendi is a large car ferry that turned upside down when it sank, so it requires a special approach and proper dive planning.
Who is this trip for?
The trip is recommended for divers who:
- have a minimum PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent rating,
- they want to see diving in a completely different style than the Red Sea,
- like rock formations, tunnels, caverns, wrecks and walls,
- want to improve buoyancy, technique and comfort underwater,
- they are looking for an active diving trip in Europe,
- they want to combine diving with the climate of a Mediterranean island.
For people with the OWD level, the diving program will be adjusted to their qualifications and experience. Some places, especially deeper wrecks and more demanding locations, are intended for AOWD or more advanced divers.
Accommodation
During the trip we will be accommodated in comfortable apartments 2- or 4-seater, located near the diving center. This is a practical solution for a diving group – close to the base, equipment and daily diving logistics.
The apartments provide freedom, an intimate atmosphere and comfortable rest after a whole day under water. This is an ideal option for people who value independence, a quiet rhythm of the trip and the opportunity to spend time together after diving.

Diving courses at every level
Gozo is an excellent place to develop your diving skills. The nature of diving sites allows training to be carried out in a natural, interesting and diverse environment.
During the trip, it is possible to complete selected PADI courses and specializations, including:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver – an ideal choice for people who want to develop their skills after OWD and dive in more diverse places.
PADI Deep Diver – specialization for divers who want to safely plan and carry out deeper dives.
PADI Wreck Diver – Gozo, Comino and Malta offer many wrecks, so it is a great place to develop in this direction.
PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy – a very practical specialization in Gozo, where good buoyancy is important when diving among rocks, caverns and wrecks.
PADI Enriched Air Nitrox – useful specialization during intensive diving trips and multi-day diving.
Training is provided optionally and after prior arrangement with the instructor.
