First dive – what to take?

The first contact with diving equipment is easier when you know in advance where to come and what the classes will look like. Start by confirming the date, meeting place and selected program with your instructor.

List of things for the swimming pool

  • Swimsuit, flip-flops and towel.
  • Cap required on site.
  • Drinking water and personal items needed after classes.
  • Documents indicated by the instructor before the meeting.

Should I buy equipment before the course?

During the OWD training, we provide a set of equipment in accordance with the offer description. Before purchasing a mask, fins or suit yourself, talk to your instructor about the fit. Include the size and any organizational issues that may affect the preparation of the kit.

DSD or OWD to start with?

Discover Scuba Diving is the first dive program. It allows you to learn the basics and try breathing underwater under the supervision of an instructor. Open Water Diver is a full course with theory, pool and open water activities, ending with certification after meeting the requirements.

Tell the instructor what you need

You don’t have to hide your fears or know the equipment before the first meeting. Ask about the course of classes and how to communicate in the water. Complete the required participation forms according to the instructions received from the center; clarify health issues that require a doctor’s assessment before class.
